New Boat Dealer on Kent Island MD has a career opportunity for an experienced Sales Professional with a love of boating. If you have been in the Marine, RV, Motorsports, or auto industry and have a proven successful sales record and boating experience this could be an outstanding opportunity to become a key member of our new sales team. The Boat Sales Professional will sell new, used and brokerage boats from our large inventory via inbound telephone calls, walk-in customers, and internet leads. Show boats to prospective buyers at our outdoor showroom, follow-up, quote, and close deals in a professional and efficient manner. Excellent earning potential for an experienced Sales Professional. Small Base plus Industry leading sales commissions with six figure earnings potential.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

Sales

  • Assists and guide customers through the sales cycle
  • Maintain constant flow of prospects into and out of the sales funnel
  • Fulfill customer inquiries and follow-up as appropriate
  • Successfully close sales transactions that benefit the customer, business, and salesperson
  • Accurately enter sale into dealer management system, and process appropriate paperwork
  • Take ownership of the sales process from initial call to post-sale follow-up

Customer Service

  • Cultivate relationships with customers by creating a customer-centric experience
  • Assist all customers, regardless of department (sales, service, or parts)
  • Maintain a clean and professional workspace

Other Duties and responsibilities include:

  • boat show and special event set up and breakdown
  • Unit transport to and from Shows
  • Daily maintenance and protection of showroom display
  • activities may change at any time with or without notice.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience with boating experience
  • The position is Monday through Saturday, with one day off during the week
  • Must be a highly motivated team player
  • Proven sales ability and track-record in the marine or RV industry
  • Advanced knowledge of boats, motors, and general marine terminology
  • Strong computer skills (everything is computerized)
  • Must be able to reliable commute or relocate prior to starting (this is NOT a remote position)

Working Conditions

  • Professional sales office and outdoor showroom located in busy marina
  • Shop/office environment that may require kneeling, bending, climbing, twisting, and lifting heavy objects
  • Will require extensive use of telephone and computer system
  • May be required to work more than 40 hours, weekends, and holidays

Job Type:

  • Full-time position with weekly base stipend pay plus industry leading commission program
