The Children’s SPOT, Inc. offers Speech, Occupational and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy programming for children and adults with a variety of cognitive disorders and developmental delays, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our therapists have a proven track record and extensive experience working with individuals in need of early intervention services through adulthood in the areas of augmentative and alternative communication, apraxia, articulation, receptive and expressive language disorders, gross and fine motor delays, handwriting, auditory processing, sensory dysfunction, feeding related issues, behavior modification, academic instruction, vocational training and more.

We offer two locations in the Columbia area including a full day program for children 6 years and younger.

The Children’s SPOT, Inc. is currently in search of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) who are looking to be part of a professional, passionate, and expanding organization. Besides BCBAs and RBTs our team of therapists include occupational therapists and speech/language pathologists. Our clients can be seen in our clinic located in Columbia, MD, the community, or in their homes. We have opportunities for full time and part time employment.

The essential functions of the BCBA Therapist will be to assess our clients, develop skill acquisition programs, and function-based behavior reduction interventions. The individual will meet regularly with parents/caregivers, school personnel, other service providers, and RBTs to complete assessments, update progress, and to train staff on program implementation. The BCBA will provide session notes, record data, and observe program fidelity. The BCBA may be responsible for supervising a RBTs and may have opportunities to co-treat with other professionals.

The ideal candidate for this position has their BCBA certification and is in good standing with the BACB. They should be knowledgeable of verbal operants and have experience implementing home and clinic-based programs. Candidates should possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, work independently, and effectively collaborate with others. Additionally, should be familiar with various assessments including the VB-MAPP.

Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour
