POSITION SUMMARY
- This position will work second shift from 3pm-1am* . The Project Safety Professional 2 position is an entry-level position, with an expectation of competencies, knowledge, and experience in safety (construction safety preferred) and construction. This position receives direction, guidance, and counsel from a Safety Manager, Project Manager, or above to complete and prioritize tasks. The Project Safety Professional 2 position executes safety related tasks and duties as specified in project safety plans and the Barton Malow safety manual. The primary function of the Project Safety Professional 2 is to maintain and promote a safe workplace by recognizing, identifying, and correcting unsafe conditions and unsafe acts and reporting them to the Safety Manager or Project Manager.
- Conducts daily safety inspections and audits on a project site, and communicates findings to Safety Manager, Project Manager or above. May correct or abate basic or simple hazards and unsafe acts with knowledge and approval of Safety Manager or above.
- Assists with the execution of Barton Malow safety manual policies and procedures as well as OSHA standards.
- May lead or facilitate safety meetings and safety orientations. Participates in safety training.
- Participates in 3rd party safety inspections such as those conducted by project teams, insurance companies, OSHA, and similar governmental or business authorities.
- Performs non catastrophic or non crisis level incident investigations and documentation.
