We’re searching for a Block Advisors District General Manager who can play a vital role in leading a geographic district of our Block Advisors retail tax offices and growing their client bases. Block Advisors is an H&R Block brand that redefined the tax preparation experience for individuals and small businesses with complex tax and business service needs. We assist our clients in reaching their financial goals year-round.
When you join us as a Block Advisors District General Manager, you will ensure your district’s operational excellence and continuous business growth by leading a team and establishing and maintaining strategic sales plans, prioritization, and project management driving operational excellence. In addition, you will ensure that policies and procedures are executed and followed in each office to increase revenues, control expenses, and promote client satisfaction through a consistent and positive experience.
What you’ll do as a Block Advisors District General Manager…
- Execute policies and procedures in each office that increase revenues, control expenses, and promote client satisfaction
- Accelerate business growth through implementation of a business plan, marketing, and identification of growth opportunities
- Recruit and onboard high caliber, top-performing tax office talent and leadership for key district positions
- Efficiently manage labor to ensure maximum productivity and profitability
- Support office leaders with hiring initiatives and end-to-end performance management of office-level associates
- Support office leaders by coaching and elevating performance standards of associates through goal setting and providing timely feedback
- As the champion of our culture, you will ensure all office associates are focused on connecting with our clients to provide a welcoming and personalized service
What you'll bring to the team...
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.
- 5 years Minimum related work experience
- Ability to make independent decisions, effecitvely prioritize time, and assume complete responsibility for work.
- Experience in developing, and executing on, short-term and long-range strategic plans.
- Experience in a retail or similar work environment is required. Multi-unit is a plus.
- P&L ownership, including the ability to increase profitability and to develop, analyze, and manage budgets.
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills, public relations skills, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to analyze data, plan, and coordinate multiple projects and work initiatives while meeting deadlines.
- Strong customer relationship skills with the desire and proven ability to work in a diverse work setting.
- Proven track record of driving results through people, including a working knowledge of organizational planning techniques, goal development, hiring, training, and work standards. Remote leadership experience is a must.
- Passionate and enthusiastic leader with a track record of achieving results.
- Meet IRS e-file Suitability requirements as defined by the IRS Publication 3112.
Pay Range Information
Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.
Qualifying associates can enroll themselves and/or their eligible dependents in medical and prescription drug coverage; can participate in the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k) Plan), the Employee Assistance Program, (virtual) fitness center programs, and the associate discount program; are automatically enrolled in Business Travel Accident Insurance; and receive Associate Tax Prep benefit.
