New Day Recovery and On Demand Counseling have an immediate need for an experienced Insurance Billing Specialist familiar with Ohio Medicaid, Medicare, as well as various commercial insurances. This new position will work with the Billing Manager to correct and submit claims electronically along with posting insurance claims and any issues that may arise. While working with the team listed above, this new position will cross train with staff to understand all current billing/auditing processes grow what currently exists.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ensure complete and accurate billing and payments.
  
• Enforce adherence to legal guidelines and policies to maintain company’s business ethics.
• Sending out monthly client statements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong understanding of billing processes and quality standards associated with submitting claims for payment (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial carriers, cash pay)
• Must work well with team, as well as be highly motivated to problem solve and accomplish work independently
• Must have experience with CPT/ICD-10 Codes.
• Must have knowledge of Submitting 837 files and downloading 835 files.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES:

• Experience in Behavioral Health billing is a plus
• Understanding of relevant laws and best practices
• Understanding of billing software, submitting claims, working denials, etc.
• Proficient in MS office and data entry; working knowledge of EMR/EHR software is a plus
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Great attention to detail
• Excellent ability to organize and coordinate tasks
