• Assist in managing the day-to-day operation of the Housekeeping department and responsible for ensuring efficient operations of the Department in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager.
• Approach all interactions with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, and service-oriented manner.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes proper uniform and name tag.
• Assist with assigning daily tasks and rooms, daily inspections, scheduling, and overall supervision of the housekeeping department.
• Ensure lobbies, hallways, guest rooms, and the back of the house are cleaned to standards.
• Assist with Deep Cleaning Projects.
• Assist Housekeeping Staff during anticipated rush periods.
• Handle complaints and special requests to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
• Comply with special needs and requests of the guests, VIPs, and repeat visitors.
• Assist in providing mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve employee performance.
• Educate and train all employees in compliance with governmental and safety regulations. Ensure staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other department heads.
• May assist with deep cleaning projects and/or assist housekeeping staff during high volume periods.

• Prior housekeeping dept experience.
• Ability to speak Spanish required.
• Self-motivated.
• Ability to work as a team and motivate others to do the same.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations.
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
