BHS - AFTER SCHOOL MENTORS #1326 Job at Barnstable Public Schools
Position: After-School Mentors
Job Goal: Provide additional education and social support for at-risk students in an after-school setting
Qualifications:
- Excellent relationship building skills with high school aged students
- Experience working within a school / youth development setting
- First aid / cpr certified
Reports to: Principle & Project Coordinator
Performance Responsibilities:
- Assist with the delivery of after-school mentoring and physical activities
- Provide educational support to participants
- Build strong relationships through positive behaviors
- Help develop life skills within at-risk youth
- Deescalate situations within a calm and and appropriate manner
- Collaborate with staff and students
Mentors- 2.5 hours a day up to 2 days
Stipend: $35.00 per hour
