Responsible for the coordination of all the day to day benefit operations as required to ensure the smooth functioning of the Human Resources benefits program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilitate day-to-day administration for the benefits department by responding to all Benefits Hotline and Benefits email, making sure employees are responded to timely, and courteously. When applicable, educate staff on benefits offered and how to navigate HRIS the system to manage their benefits. Manage all items within the Benefits Dashboard, act as the Benefits department liaison with carriers to troubleshoot any Benefits issues and escalate when needed. Processes all QLE’s. Calculate benefit premium corrections and log for payroll batches.
Assist with the entire annual open enrollment process including educating staff on new offerings, answering questions, helping to complete online enrollment process, and auditing data for accuracy once open enrollment is complete. Travels to other affiliate locations to provide support as needed/requested.
Assist with Affordable Care Act new eligible and ineligible groups for yearly lookback. Assist employees with affordable care act questions. Assist in lookback and enrollment process.
Reconcile and audit weekly benefits file feeds, troubleshoot and correct issues as needed. Update carriers and HRIS carrier with location changes and mapping structure with file feeds as needed. Process manually any file feed changes to participants voluntary plan deductions as needed.
Assist with HSA corrections and process reimbursements. Obtain monthly HSA incentive report from medical carrier and work with Payroll to process.
Assist with COBRA vendor website and day to day responsibilities.
Assist with the day-to-day administration of the Wellness Program and budget. Acts as a member of the Wellness Committee to promote programs and engage staff to help drive down benefit expenses. Promotes virtual and onsite programs, onsite resource during wellness programs. Lead in booking offerings, ordering, tracking materials, send monthly newsletter items to Communications Coordinator, processing and log all invoices. Travels to other affiliate locations to provide support as needed/requested.
Maintain Intranet page and HRIS Homepage keeping all benefit information up to date and accurate.
Completes Medicare and Benefit verification letters upon request.
Processes all benefits invoices for active plans, reconcile and analyze discrepancies, update reports with rate changes.
Assist with year-end benefit process.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Required. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources preferred or related field required or equivalent amount of experience in the employee benefits field.
Experience: 1-2 years’ experience with benefits administration, and health promotion. Knowledge of Affordable Care Act and Healthcare Reform mandates. Strong computer skills, to include Microsoft Office applications.
