Summer Camp Lifeguard and Swim Instructor

Job Description:Benchmark Camp is a 5-week day camp providing academics and recreation. We serve bright children in grades 1 through 6 who have dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, or other language-based learning differences along with students who need additional help in language arts. Benchmark Camp is looking for an energetic, attentive, and certified Lifeguard and Swim Instructor. The Lifeguard and Swim Instructor will support and facilitate activities designed by the Recreation Program Director as well as teach students how to swim in our outdoor pool.

Benchmark Camp is in session from June 26 to July 28 (closed on July 3 and July 4). Teachers are expected to be on campus from 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. when camp is in session. In-service is required from June 22-24, 2023.

Qualifications:

• Junior or senior in high school or older
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Required
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to learn and enforce the camp's safety and operating rules
• Must pass reference checks and background screenings, which include fingerprint check and sex offender registry check
