Job Location
The Behavioral Health Support position is located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Job Duties
- The Behavioral Health Support staff provides direct resident care, providing a safe and therapeutic environment through daily assessments, treatment plan implementation with the provision of individual, and group instruction of activities of daily living skills.
- Participate in aggressive behavior management appropriate to the population served.
Experience
Experience in a helping field preferred.
Education
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
License
A valid driver’s license with a driving record that adheres to Community Health Network policy.
Skills
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal), and assessments and treatment competencies specific to population being served
- Must possess, by specialized training and/or experience, specific age-specific competencies to deal with the needs of the patient population served
- Must be able to assist clients with daily living skills as needed, participate in daily activities and then perform household duties as needed
- Ability to cognitively analyze and reason to perform therapeutic interventions
- Auditory skills to hear reporting by clients of their problems
