ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Behavioral Care Coordinator (BCC) is an administrative staff member with outstanding customer service and data management skills. The BCC is responsible for registering patients and administering some initial questionnaires. They are the front line for helping patients understand integrated care, and helping medical providers connect to the behavioral health team. BCCs also manages the patient data registry, a large spreadsheet where information about patients and their outcomes is stored. The BCC role is a balance between excellent customer service, strong computer skills, and careful data management.

Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Registering patients and walking through a structured intake process in a courteous manner; including going over explanation of benefits, collection of co-payments/deductibles/co-ins, balances etc. through phone, emails, and patient messages via patient portal
- Contacting patients to conduct initial registration “welcome visits”
- Provide patients with initial intake paperwork and evaluate paperwork after completion
- Entering data into and maintaining accurate patient registry
- Interacting with medical providers in a professional manner to schedule consultations with clinical staff
- Receiving calls for urgent assessments, and managing in a calm, reassuring, and professional manner
- Reviewing and capturing patient information in on-line databases and transferring appropriately into LifeStance electronic medical record platform
- Maintaining notes regarding patient interactions and clinical consultation meetings
- Managing electronic patient forms
- Answering patient questions about services and how to access virtual visits
- Sending documents via fax to partner organizations while maintaining appropriate confidentiality
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in a front desk setting
- Bilingual Spanish is required
- Possess prior knowledge of OSHA/HIPAA requirements is preferred
- Previous experience with EMR/EHR
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multi-task
