Axeville Throwing Club in Asheville, NC is looking for one high-energy, part-time (4-8 hours per week or so) Beertender/Check-In person to join our team. Shifts are afternoon/evening, mainly Thu-Sat. Saturdays are critical. We are located at 99 New Leicester Hwy, Suite 20.

The Beertender/Check-In person will greet customers, check them in for their appointments, answer questions in person and on the phone, and serve beer/wine/cider and snacks. You will also sell merchandise and handle basic cleaning duties.

The ideal candidate should possess an engaging & friendly personality. They should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.

Responsibilities

*Welcoming customers, determining beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders. *Checking IDs to ensure customers are of legal age to purchase alcohol. *Handling cash, and credit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register. *Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing utensils and other equipment as needed. *Taking photos/videos for posting to social media *Maintaining stock and appearance of merchandise

Qualifications

*Prior server or bartender experience preferred but not required. *ServSafe or similar certificate required either before or after hiring. *Meets state minimum age to serve alcohol. *Availability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays. *Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance. *Basic math and computer skills. *Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. *Strong task and time management abilities. *Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc. for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
