Sol Southern Kitchen & Lounge looking to expand our weekend team of quality servers & Bartenders.

SOL will be offering a unique tasting of decadent, rich food with its roots deep in Southern traditions. With a large focus on food and craft cocktails, two floors for dining, colorful wallpaper and decor- this restaurant brings a fun and different charm to downtown Portsmouth.

We are looking for high energy, experienced Servers & Bartenders with a love for the art of mixology and food service. With being a new opening restaurant, we will all be training and learning together. We are looking to create a truly memorable experience for both guests and staff, so passion for what we are doing is a must.

• Complete all opening and closing task lists assigned and set forth by Management

• Protect restaurant’s integrity by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies

• Complete T.E.A.M. certifications as required by Management

• Help guests select food and beverages by presenting menus

• Offer cocktails and wine, suggest courses

• Explain Chef’s specialties

• Answer food preparation questions, etc.

• Place all orders to bar and kitchen by recording guests’ choices

• Identify any and all dietary needs and special requests

• Serve orders by picking up and delivering guests’ choices from bar/kitchen in a timely manner

• Deliver all accompaniments and condiments while assuring quality control

• Respond to additional guest requirements by inquiring of needs

• check in and observe dining process from start to finish

• Maintain table settings

• Remove courses as completed

• Replenish utensils, refill water glasses and beverages

• Be alert to guest spills or any additional dining needs

• Conclude dining experiences by acknowledging choice of restaurant; finding out more about their experience and inviting them to return

• Follow all training procedures presented in the Server Manual

• Communicate with Management any issues or concerns throughout the shift

• Work diligently by helping Teammates and all departments to ensure great service all around

• Other duties as assigned by Management

Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
