Bartender – Caroline’s Restaurant

As one of our bartenders, you will be a part of the newest restaurant & bar in the Moon Township area. While providing superior customer service and a relaxed upscale atmosphere, you will extremely knowledgeable of all food & beverage options as well as the culinary standards set forth by DoubleTree by Hilton.

What You Will Be Doing:

· Create a warm and welcoming environment for all guests

· Respond promptly to all guest questions, requests or complaints

· Convey knowledge of beverages, daily specials, menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods

· Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food & beverage

· Maintain a clean, pleasant and professional image to the guest and wear the appropriate uniform at all times

· Follow all outlet policies, procedures and service standards including cash handling and responsible service of alcohol

· Upsell all food & beverage items

· Serve food & beverage quickly and courteously

· Attend all pre-shift meetings on time

· Review reservations, VIP’s and hotel groups in house

· Understand all amenities of DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh Airport

· Close out shift accurately using both the Micros and PMS system

· Perform all duties as required and other tasks assigned

· Having fun

Your Skills and Qualifications Include:

· Demonstrable previous experience as a bartender in a fast paced, upscale restaurant is required

· Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, while working cohesively as a part of a team

· Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Highly responsible and reliable

· Ability to work all shifts

· Operational knowledge of Micros and PMS systems

· Ability to have fun

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

· Ability to stand, walk and be mobile for up to 8 hours

· Frequent lifting and carrying up to 25lbs

· Ability to move quickly and efficiently

· Occasional kneeling, pushing and lifting

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $4.00 per hour
