JOB DESCRIPTION
Vigor Group Hospitality is looking for experienced Craft Bartenders at The Hall On The Yard, Orlando. We are looking for a hospitality professional with highly proficient customer service experience and a positive attitude. They will have a direct impact on the level of service that we offer to our guests, not only through the service you provide but your interaction with the guests themselves. Additionally, you are someone who has a passion for food while remaining motivated, energetic and passionate about what we do.
We are looking to employ a hardworking and dedicated craft bartenders to provide attentive service to guests while ensuring that bar/tables are cleared, cleaned, and properly set for newly arriving patrons. The bartender’s responsibilities include a complete understanding and adherence to our steps of service, preparing and refilling beverages, processing payments, removing trash, and sanitizing restaurant menus, and assisting your fellow teammates in creating a memorable experience for all of our guests. You should also be able to perform end-of-day clean-up duties.
To be successful as a bartender you should be well-organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Ultimately, an outstanding bartender should demonstrate effective communication skills and strive to achieve excellent customer service at all times.
Shifts available: multiple, part time and full time
Bartender Responsibilities:
· Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
· Sets up assigned bars; requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce.
· Maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality. Dating and labeling all produce and perishables.
· Assists with all needed batching and prep for a successful service.
· Greets guests in a courteous, friendly manner.
· Takes and/or processes orders for drinks; mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using and adhering to beverage recipes; practices prudent portion control.
· Checks guests at the bar for proper identification.
· Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws.
· Receives cash from guests, makes change, verifies validity of charges, records charges and ensures vouchers are properly executed.
· Locks up and stores all beverage products, food, equipment items, deposits and cash drops; secures bank.
· Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keeps work area clean and organized.
· Arranges bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area.
· Washes, sterilizes, and polish stemware.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
· Proficient in all aspects of fine dining service.
· Knowledge of food and beverage, as well as having a passion to cultivate these skills.
· Display a confident and professional appearance.
· Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
· High school diploma preferred.
· Ability to exert a well-paced mobility for periods up to 6-8 hours per shift, all the while maintaining a fun and positive attitude.
· Must be able to carry about 40lbs.
· Performs opening, ongoing, and closing side work duties as assigned.
Bartender Qualifications:
· Experienced server (2+ years exp.) with the ability to perform in a high-volume restaurant featuring 150+ covers daily
· Extensive understanding of classic cocktails
· The ability to adhere to very specific recipe specs
· Friendly, outgoing, positive, and hardworking person
· Willingness to learn
· Dependable, team-oriented, with a can-do attitude
· Dedication, passion for food and hospitality; general interest in expanding/enriching food and wine knowledge
· Sincere passion to help others and provide stellar guest service (proficient in steps of service)
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time
· Flexibility to work a variety of shifts (AM, PM)
· High school diploma or GED.
· Sound knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
· The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· The ability to stand for extended periods.
· Must have an intermediate knowledge level of wine, beer, and spirits.
· Excellent organizational skills.
· Effective communication skills.
· Exceptional customer service skills.
· Must be a proactive individual.
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
