Gabe’s Wisconsin Kitchen and Tavern is a locally owned and operated restaurant in the city of Oshkosh. We are focused around creating neighborhood, casual, friendly environment. Our menu and service style is based upon doing the simple things the right way in a casual atmosphere. Gabe’s is accepting employment applications for part-time and full-time servers and bartenders. Experience is preferred, but we will consider an individual who is eager to learn and committed to providing excellent service with respect to our vision. We are open for lunch, dinner, and late-night, so availability during those hours are required.

Job functions and skill requirements:

• Come to work with the proper uniform and be prepared to work.
• Promotes a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Follows set-up procedures and performs side work before and after service as instructed
• Greets guests with a smile and genuine welcome to the restaurant
• Reports guest issues to a manager as soon as they occur
• Maintains a clean work environment
• Works with the kitchen to coordinate the timing, sequence and changes of the dining room’s activities.
• Ability to learn and explain our menu, philosophy, and standards to our guests
• Understands table setup and table maintenance processes to ensure a quality dining experience
• Must be able to work standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Stocks all necessary items to par levels daily at the main bar, kitchen, server stations, coolers and liquor room
• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing them efficiently, and building a rapport with clientele
• Keep an eye on patron intoxication levels, making sure to cut off those who have had too much
• Clean the bar, restaurant and the surrounding area of spills and other messes as needed
• Other duties as requested

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Experience:

• Bartending: 1 year (Preferred)(for bartenders)
• restaurant: 1 year (Preferred)
• Ability to acquire City of Oshkosh bartending license (for bartenders)(required)
