Principal Function

The Barista's highest priorities will be to support overall profitability and guest satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service while maintaining Centerplate's standards for safety, cleanliness, sanitation. They will create and serve coffee-based beverages and will serve light snack items within a Quick Serve environment, typically within a restaurant, Convention Center or other Centerplate events venue that features a coffee bar.

Essential Responsibilities

• Maximize customer satisfaction by preparing and serving coffee drinks, beverages and snack items in accordance with Centerplate standards and guest expectations.
• Contribute to Centerplate’s goal of 100% guest satisfaction through teamwork and personal commitment.
• Implement, support and maintain standards for workplace safety at all times.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment.

Qualifications/Skills

Required:

• Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructions.
• Must work well in a team environment.
• Ability to follow written and oral direction.
• Ability to work under pressure and independently.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used by guests who typically visit the work location.

Other requirements include but are not limited to:

Subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.
