The Redstone General Store is a small, women-owned, family business in the historic mountain village of Redstone, CO. We serve our community by being the only store for a 20 mile radius. We are nestled in the beautiful Crystal River Valley, a hub for outdoor enthusiasts and those seeking time in nature. Our store provides a small grocer, coffee shop, liquor store, ice cream parlor, gift shop, candy store, bakery, and a daily breakfast & lunch special. Our focus is procuring & selling the most local and well-sourced foods and items while also offering a special space for all to come together. We have often been called “a health food store in the mountains”. Come be a part of our family and work in one of the most beautiful settings in Colorado.

Must be open to a fast-paced environment in the busy summer months with the ability to multi-task, while giving our customers an unforgettable experience. We have a great front yard and backyard where we host monthly community farm dinners, musicians frequent our store for small performances, and we host community yoga sessions. This is a great opportunity to make community and learn the ins & outs of a small business.

Role + Responsibilities

• Assist in all operations of the store
• Keep store looking clean & inviting
• Help with food prep in our small kitchen - our kitchen’s focus is local, organic, and mostly vegetarian. We work with a lot of farmers in the area to source great food!
• Scoop ice cream - we have a big following for our ice cream. We serve customers from our ice cream truck in our wonderful backyard
• Work register using Square POS
• Assist with monthly farm dinners and Redstone community events, i.e. the Labor Day Art Show
• Stock groceries/liquor store and receive large orders from our distributors

Qualifications + Skills

• Team player/positive attitude
• Willingness to jump right in/take leadership
• Ability to interact with all customers in a pleasant manner
• Kitchen experience and restaurant industry experience, a plus
• Using POS on register, a plus
• Baking experience, a plus
• We are willing to train in all areas

Positions

• Full time and Part-Time available in the summer and part time available in the winter

Compensation

• $20/hr plus tips, potential salary option too
