Sift Gluten Free, a dedicated gluten-free bakery and coffee shop in South Minneapolis, is looking for a part-time or full-time barista to join our team. Candidates should be available 30+ hours per week (4-5 shifts), including weekends, opening shifts (starting at 6am), and closing shifts (ending around 4pm).

We feature Wonderstate Coffee and Backstory Coffee Roasters' products—both incredible coffees and companies to work with! Our ideal co-worker will have a welcoming attitude and be an active problem-solver. Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail are a must.

Responsibilities include:

• Crafting espresso drinks according to Sift recipes.
• Keeping espresso shots consistent and dialed in throughout a shift.
• Batch brewing coffee and cold brew, and assembling tea drinks as needed.
• Helping customers navigate the bakery case, with attention paid to any allergy concerns they may have.
• Accurately packaging baked goods for customers.
• Assisting customers with placing a special order.
• Restocking the bakery case and retail freezer.
• Answering phone calls.
• Completing side tasks, including item inventory, dishes, and general cleaning.
• Operating Square register.

We're looking for people who:

• have at least one year of barista experience, as well as food service experience.
• have a personable and friendly attitude, with excellent customer service skills.
• feel comfortable opening and closing the shop independently once fully trained.
• can work independently and take initiative.
• possess great communication skills.
• enjoy collaborating as part of a fun (and funny) team.
• are enthusiastic and creative problem solvers.
• are willing to take on multiple tasks in a small-business environment.
• are open to learning, coaching, and development.
• are excited to interact with some of the best customers around.
• can stand for the duration of a shift.
• can lift up to 50 lbs.
