This role is responsible for maintaining the coffee and tea program established in accordance with the standards of Huckleberry Cafe. You will produce all beverages in accordance with Huckleberry recipes, ensuring that they are made consistently and efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce all beverages in accordance with Huckleberry recipes
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of coffee equipment
- Communicate stock levels and supply needs with Beverage lead and management
- Ensure coffee station is clean, stocked and organized
- Produce fresh juices
- Additional duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Food Handlers Permit
- At least (1) year barista experience in a high volume cafe or coffee shop
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Basic coffee knowledge
- Passion for coffee and tea
- Extensive knowledge of basic service procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to accept and follow verbal instructions and delegated tasks in English.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests, co workers and management in English
- English / Spanish bilingual a plus
- Reliable transportation
- Regular, predictable and reliable attendance.
- Fundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness and personal hygiene.
- Commitment to teamwork
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours per day.
- Requires moderate physical effort: standing, carrying, bending, stretching, wrist movement, stooping, pulling and pushing, use of step stools and ladders, lifting of weights up to 50 pounds.
