The ideal Barista will have a passion for craft coffee and bring a positive mindset to our growing Cafe. The position will involve a combination of drink preparation, food preparation, and POS duties. The best candidate will be flexible and have the ability to be effective and efficient in all three areas. He/she will have the ability to work closely with ownership on ideas, offerings, and campaigns to grow the Cafe.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing opening and daily Cafe setup procedures
- Greeting customers in a friendly manner and taking food and drink orders
- Preparing and serving coffee and tea offerings, ranging from simple to elaborate ones
- Preparing and serving food items such as soups, sandwiches, smoothies and pastries
- Having proper knowledge of offerings and the ability to answer customers' questions about menu choices
- Promoting and recommending menu options to customers
- Taking payment from customers
- Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting and communicating need for repairs
- Keeping the work environment and Cafe space sanitary and organized
- Performing end of day closing procedures and duties
- Evaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of service

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
