As a Banquet Bartender at the Embassy Suites Chicago Naperville, responsible for delivering and serving beverage items to banquet guests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in hotel banquet experience preferred. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, a positive can-do attitude, passion for service and creativity with superior written and verbal communication skills. We are a collaborative, fast-paced team looking for a self-motivated person to join us, learn, and quickly grow their career.

Preferred Skills:

• Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
• Skilled in assuming tasks independently; being persistent, firm, and confident; and exercising a practical, individualistic approach in problem-solving.
• Requires oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate information and hotel services to management and guests
• Ability to compile facts and figures
• Must maintain a warm and friendly demeanor; maintains composure and objectivity when needed

Essential Responsibilities:

• Set banquet tables to meet function specifications
• Deliver and serve food and beverages, including, but not limited to, meals, condiments and accompaniments
• Ensure menu knowledge
• Remove china, glassware, silverware, etc. from tables at the conclusion of the meal period and deliver to the stewarding area
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Respond to guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner
• Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
• Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.

Tips:

Service charges are pooled together for the period, and then equally distributed/paid based on the number of hours worked during the pay period.
