I. Job Summary
Operate and complete daily inspections on one or multiple pieces of equipment including but not limited to baler, chipper, shredder, can densifier, or roll cutter to prepare materials to facilitate handling by performing the following duties.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
- Performs daily inspection of equipment such as fueling, greasing, cleaning, etc.
- Coordinate and monitor level and flow of material.
- Complete proper adjustments of stationary machinery to accommodate each material being processed.
- Coordinate flow of material.
- Check quality of material before it is processed or shipped.
- Assure safety around working areas.
- Follow appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs) as guideline for operating and maintaining equipment.
- Monitors and tracks accurate production records.
- Must be able to sort and grade the material.
