Star Cakes is looking for a baker/salesperson to help create their signature line of sweets and wait on customers. The baker/salesperson must be able to work independently and maintain a positive attitude while working with customers and staff. Baker is responsible for completing daily orders, rotating and restocking bakery items as needed. Baker must be able to keep a clean working environment throughout the day as the kitchen is visible to the public. Baker must be able to work as a team player with other staff and have excellent communication skills to make sure all orders are recorded and fulfilled throughout the days and weeks.

Responsibilities include the following:

• Maintain a positive working environment including interactions with customers and other staff
• Tracking weekly/daily orders to make sure all orders are completed and fulfilled on time while working with other team members
• Must be able to maintain daily/weekly menu
• Follow all procedures and company guidelines including safety, sanitation and cleanliness throughout daily preparation in accordance with state and local health coding regulations
• Daily duties include but are not limited to dish washing and sanitation, baking prep, trash removal, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning coolers, fridges, freezers and all kitchen equipment
• Must be able to stand at least 4 hours at a time
• Ability to read and follow directions and have a clear understanding of menu provided
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and break down orders as they arrive
• Maintain list of items needed for purchasing and communicate that list with staff
• Ability to multitask and to rotate product in and out of the oven in a timely manner
• Have daily to-do list completed before end of shift
• Must adhere to company guidelines and procedures as well as bakery job description as provided including dress code, time off requests, cell phone usage
• Must be able to work throughout holiday seasons.
• Be able to take on additional tasks including but not limited to product packaging, product display and event preparation

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
