Baker/Pastry Chef
Our historic, downtown bakery is looking for a full-time baker/pastry chef. Many of our recipes have been handed down for generations and our staff helps keep that history alive. We've also recently added a number of new products and we're looking for someone who's creative and enjoys recipe testing to keep our specials modern and delicious.
This position is five days a week, with a rotating schedule that includes some weekend days. Schedule can be flexible and is dependent upon your time management. Hours are approximately 5am-1pm, Saturdays begin at 4am.
Qualities you must possess:
- Dependability
- Self-Starter
- You keep a clean and sanitary work space
- You are detail oriented
- Ability to multitask
- You are a good communicator
- You feel comfortable with the math required to scale recipes
- You have experience working in kitchens
- You can use a bakers scale
- You can lift 50 pound bags
Salary is commensurate with experience. In addition to your hourly salary, we provide generous holiday bonuses at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
