SUMMARY
Ensure quality preparation, plating and presentation of baked goods across various venues. Adhere to recipes and portion control standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:
· Plates and presents baked goods for various venues.
· Adheres to standards for plating, portioning and presentation of all items.
· Ensures excellent quality of food and proper presentation.
· Ensures timely delivery of all food products.
· Upholds cleanliness standards for kitchen operations, equipment and tools.
· Decorates cakes and pastries.
· Prepares and presents baked good for various venues.
· Creates decorative show pieces made of chocolate, sugar and other ingredients commonly found in a bakery.
· Scratches bake breads, cakes and other common items prepared in the Bakery.
· Promotes the Big Six; encourages a fun, friendly, quick, comfortable, clean and safe environment.
· Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
Manage multiple projects without having direct supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 5 years of baking experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to obtain a food handler’s card.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work may be performed in a variety of settings, including climate-controlled office settings and/or casino floors which includes exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise. Work requires standing for long periods of time which includes frequent bending and kneeling. Work requires lifting objects up to 50lbs. Work will require working varied shifts including, weekends and holidays, as needed.
