Inviting applications for the role of Aviation Engine Technical Data Entry Specialist

We are looking for a Data Entry Specialist to enter data related to Aircraft Engine Shop manual from paper documents into our SAP Master Database. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and work in a fast paced environment with a keen eye for detail and ability to learn new processes. You will report to a data manager or another senior data team member. Understanding of data confidentiality principles is compulsory.

Responsibilities

• Transfer Aircraft Engine parts and instructions data from paper formats into Master database systems in SAP using various IT tools
• Verify data by comparing it to source documents
• Update existing data from various pdf, word, excel to SAP
• Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
• Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
• Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
• Support new ERP roll outs at the site

Requirements and Skills

• Proven experience as data entry specialist
• Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred
• Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
• Working Knowledge of SAP will be added advantage
• Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
• Basic understanding of databases
• Ability to understand relevant technical documentation, manuals or instructions
• Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills
• Great attention to detail
• High school degree or equivalent

Preferred qualifications

• Strong technical report writing background – preferably in aviation industry.
• Previous internship or working experience in a MRO shop.
• Knowledge about SAP software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
