Key Responsibilities:

This Oxnard based position with oversight for two facilities in Oxnard, CA contributes to the success of the plant by supporting the operations team to meet customer needs and achieve standards related to cost, line efficiencies, waste, safety, and productivity. This individual is responsible for executing continuous improvement and capital projects for the facilities. The individual will drive results using TPM principles and Lean Manufacturing tools.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Lead Autonomous Maintenance (AM) Pillar for the sites and serves as liaison with the National AM Pillar team
  • Lead continuous improvement teams consisting of Maintenance, Production, Quality, and Fermentation personnel
  • Identify gaps in performance, investigate root cause effectively and efficiently, and implement counter measures to eliminate recurrence, supporting improvement of TE/RE and AM/FI Pillar Development
  • Liaison with Engineering, R&D/PD innovation, and outside technology resources to provide technical support to the facility
  • Lead plant sustainability efforts, specifically water and energy conservation to meet TBG goals
  • Promote TBG's Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) efforts, advance the AM Pillar, and support the development of TPM initiatives in the Fermentation department
  • Focus on creating an environment whereby each team member can achieve the goals set forth in TPM and Supply Chain Management, resulting in the highest customer/consumer values.
  • Participate and/or lead project teams that improve Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Safety through TPM principles
  • Serve as a training resource or coach for team members and team leaders regarding team member skills, Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activity, Focused Improvement (FI), Quality Management (QM), safety, sanitation programs, and plant process/flow.
  • Identify and coordinate operations improvements necessary to deliver the site Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Ensure cost performance gaps are identified, action plans are developed, and resources are properly allocated
  • Optimize operational efficiencies to support the facility's blending, production, and packaging operations
  • Deliver effective change leadership - driving business changes while minimizing people impact
  • Execute LSS projects
  • Execute Capital projects, as needed
  • Lead root cause and breakdown analysis exercises
  • Develop others by training frontline employees - setting expectations, providing feedback, and recognizing and rewarding good performance
  • Prepare and conduct team meetings as necessary for proper communication
  • Routinely solicit feedback and provide coaching in supporting a culture which maximizes innovation, participation and rewards of team members
  • Develop an understanding of equipment and machinery operations in order to serve as a resource to team members for preventive maintenance guidelines, Autonomous Maintenance and breakdowns
  • Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist the team to solve operational issues
  • Effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization
  • Champion and lead an effective safety culture. Coach for safe behaviors and compliance with safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with and administer Company policies and procedures
  • Regular and predictable attendance at the worksite

Professional Experience / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably a B.S. in Science, Engineering, or Maintenance Technologies, or comparable work experience (at least 2+ years) in a high-speed Manufacturing environment required, preferably maintenance experience in a food and beverage environment
  • 2+ years work experience in a manufacturing position or continuous improvement position
  • Experience in food and beverage industry preferred
  • Proficiency in TPM or LSS
  • Experience utilizing Zarpac, ZPI, or similar efficiency tracking and analysis tools
  • Must have a basic understanding of financial reporting and budgeting, including, but not limited to cullage, yields, and TE as well as Run Strategy and all conversation and deployment KPI's.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of varying priorities simultaneously
  • Strong employee relations, interpersonal, teambuilding, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team-building skills
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Ability to lead a team-based approach to decision making
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people with varying levels of education, expertise and backgrounds
  • Must be self-motivated and a self-starter, needing little or no direction
  • Demonstrate planning and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate ability to function successfully in a fast paced, changing work environment
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, conflict management and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate computer proficiency: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP/CMMS, and Minitab are a plus.
  • Ability to flex schedule to accommodate production needs, rotate shifts and work weekends and holidays when required
  • This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
