Sewell Family of Companies, Inc. is looking for an Automotive Technician in house Recruiter to lead the organization in hiring new qualified automotive technicians! This position is responsible for evaluating and scheduling interviews for all candidates, innovative candidate sourcing, and identifying and building personal relationships with target candidates for Sewell!
The Automotive Technician Recruiter is responsible for delivering all facets of technician recruiting success for all our dealerships. This will be achieved through the development of local and national recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative, innovative recruiting ideas. The Automotive Technician Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring the best possible talent is hired. This position is responsible for managing and driving recruitment strategies while simultaneously supporting the life cycle recruitment efforts for quality technicians.
This position will be mostly on site, with some travel to colleges, high schools, and manufacture schools.

- Sourcing potential candidates from various online channels to include social media and online forums.
- Advertise job openings on the Company’s career page, social media, job boards, etc.
- Collaborate with managers to identify future hiring needs
- Screen incoming resumes and applications
- Coordinate and schedule interviews for Service Managers (phone, video, and in-person)
- Send job offer emails and answer questions about compensation and benefits
- Establish and implement internal recruiting referral program.
- Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
- Build networks to find and actively purse qualified passive candidates.
- Develop, execute, and maintain data and results on recruiting plans
- Liaison between hiring managers, executives, candidates, and Team Resources.
- Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates to establish a pipeline.
- Give presentations at colleges, attend student group meetings, and increase awareness of the company before and after career fairs.
- Scouting and aggressively pursuing top talent in the industry
- Must be confident in solicitating and cold calling potential candidates
- Must be prevalent in community and have strong interpersonal skills willing to engage conversations on available career opportunities ranging from high school students to tenured successful master certified technicians.
- Host parent student career days internally and externally in dealerships
- 2-5 Years of recruiting experience, automotive requiting a plus.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (KRONOS or UKG a plus)
- Experience with sourcing techniques
- Proactive communicator with strong desire to collaborate with others
- Positive attitude
Compensation
