Lou Bachrodt Automotive Group, in Pompano Beach, is searching for a full-time highly skilled Automotive Service Technician for the repair and preventive maintenance of vehicles as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards while building confidence and reliability in Lou Bachrodt Chevrolet as the preferred and trusted vehicle repair center. Essential Functions:

• Performs vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Communicates with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly on the vehicle repair progress
• Diagnoses the cause of any malfunction and performs repairs as authorized by the Customer.
• Conducts multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure safety and reliability of Customer vehicles.
• Documents work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Stays up to date with factory technical bulletins and participates in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.
• Provides exceptional customer experience
• Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
• Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Position Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid in-state driver’s license with acceptable and safe driving record
• Automotive technical training/experience
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and processes to ensure safety and quality
• Up to date with required certificates
• Organization, teamwork and follow up skills

Compensation:

$28 to $40 per hour, depending on qualifications and certifications.

Monday to Friday and alternating Saturdays.
