Lincoln Tech in East Windsor, CT is looking for a Lead Automotive Instructor to provide leadership to those working within the area of instruction. You would ensure quality delivery of assigned courses using the appropriate methods, including teaching, tutoring, and lecturing. You would also be expected to maintain a high student retention rate based on Company, regulatory, and accreditation guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Conducts classroom observations and surveys. Reviews the results with faculty, students, the Director of Education, and staff as appropriate.
- Maintains an inventory of all equipment, supplies, training aids, and course materials within the respective program.
- Assists in ensuring that all instructors are present, and that adequate provisions are made for classes affected by faculty absences.
- Prepares, teaches and organizes the lesson materials, equipment, and training areas.
- Assists with faculty recruitment, hiring, orientation, professional development, evaluation, and management.
- Enforces and supports school policies and procedures; advises instructors as necessary.
- Communicates all changes to curriculum, books, and supplies, and contributes to the review process.
- Coordinates externship or internship site visits with instructional staff.
Skills & Experience
- 3+ years' Automotive Technician experience
- Excellent interpersonal communication and public speaking skills
- Ability to interpret key statistics related to student retention
- Attention to detail, and a passion for quality
- Ability to interpret key statistics related to student retention
- Proficient With Technology
