Velocity produces “restomod” restorations where vintage vehicles are upgraded with modern parts, drivetrain, and technology making them functionally new while maintaining an original or vintage aesthetic. The company has pioneered a custom classic vehicle renovation via an assembly line process, ensuring a high level of quality control, with a known price, and significantly decreased build time. We have a talented team of 100+ employees and a 135,000 square foot facility where we are continuing to add additional production lines and new vehicle offerings.

Job Description

The Automotive Detailing Technician is responsible for putting the final touches on our customer’s luxury ride. Professionalism and a desire for high quality excellence is a must. Applicants must be punctual with a reliable form of transportation to and from work.

Body Shop Manager

About Your Role

• Cleaning vehicle interiors and exteriors in compliance with all company standards.
• Operating buffers, steamers, hoses, vacuums, and other equipment.
• Using cleaning, protective, and restorative agents to maintain and enhance the appearance of vehicles.
• Performing inspections and keeping complete, accurate records of the vehicle’s condition.
• Moving and parking vehicles with care.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Detail oriented.
• Ability to work as a team and take instructions.
• Proficiency in detailing, waxing, and trimming.
• Proficiency in wet sanding and polishing.
• Ability to use an orbital polisher.
• Basic familiarity with Windows operating system.
• Ability to maintain professional communications with manager, coworkers, and vendors.
• Dependability to show up every day on time.

Education Background and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• 1+ years of previous automotive detailing experience

Physical Demands (To include but not limited to)

• Must be able to lift, carry, and place merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Frequent standing and walking for long periods of time.
• Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
• Ability to work in hot or cold temperatures for long periods of time.
• Safely operate a motor vehicle.
