Now Hiring an Experienced Automotive Dealership Business Manager/Controller in San Diego.

We are looking for a Business Manager who has a strong understanding & knowledge of each aspect in the Business Office including Financial Statements, Contracts, DMV, Payables Receivables, Payroll, and HR. This position reports directly to the President and is an integral part of the management of the operations.

Essential Duties and Qualifications:

• Prepares monthly manufacturer financial statements.

• Manages and oversees onboarding, disciplining and other HR processes.

• Review all reconciliations (Bank, Floor Plan, etc.) for completeness, timeliness, and accuracy

• Maintains accurate, complete, and timely financial reporting.

• Complies with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.

• Ensure that all accounts are current.

• Analyze and organize office/administrative operations and procedures.

• Maintain professional appearance.

• Experience working in Dealership Management Systems, Reynolds and Reynolds preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff.

• Strong attention to detail and interest in accuracy

The Business Manager has numerous specific daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities, including:

• Close the books for the month when payroll is closed

• Collect receivables such as Contracts in Transit within 5 days to ensure the company’s cash position remains strong

• Payables schedule generated in a timely fashion each month

• Clear contracts generated by the F&I team daily, with no backlog carrying over throughout the week

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting as required by state and federal law to protect the company from liability

• Occasional flooring audits by our commercial banking partner

Job Experience:

• 2-3 years of experience as an Automotive Dealership Business Manager - REQUIRED

• Must have a positive, helpful, and motivational attitude

• Experience with leading and developing a team REQUIRED

The Controller Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Base SALARY range is $84,000-$102,000 annually for this full-time position plus benefits.
