What You’ll Get to Do
As an Automation Tester with Selenium experience testing Java-based applications you will be an integral part of our Verification and Validation Team. This is a full time REMOTE opportunity or if you prefer onsite work can be Rockville, MD
More About the Role
- Responsible for testing all software releases including new features, enhancements, and defects fixes. Manual testing, strong requirements analysis, test writing, and the ability to contribute to automated test effort.
- Contribute to the design and building of an automation test framework for a complex, highly customizable website.
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases by collaborating with architects, developers and project managers.
- Design, build and maintain automated tests and test suites for new features as well as existing functionality in browser, command-line and API-based applications.
- Create and manage test data for use by automation test scripts.
- Perform manual testing according to test plans.
- Identify, record, thoroughly document and track defects.
- Augment automated regression test scripts when defects are resolved.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to project management on software usability and functionality.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent related experience
- At least 5 years of experience in software testing
- At least 5 years doing automated testing using either Selenium IDE and Selenium WebDriver
- Experience in various testing methodologies such as White Box, Black Box, Smoke Testing, Regression Testing and others
- Experience on 508 testing and use of JAWS tool
- Experience in creation and execution of test plans
- Experience in setting up and managing test environments
- Experience coding using Java as the primary programming language
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
- Experience mentoring Junior QAs
- Prior experience as a Java developer is a big plus
