We are looking for highly motivated individuals to increase the size of our maintenance department at our Houston, Texas manufacturing facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical automation support during production breakdowns as well as new equipment installations, commissioning, retrofits and continuous improvement projects.
  • Assists in equipment malfunction investigation to increase equipment reliability by identifying root cause, determining corrective actions/preventative measures, and following up on any deviations.
  • Performs setup and calibration for process and control instrumentation such as: Flow meters, Temperature and Pressure transducers.
  • Determines and programs parameters for variable frequency drivers and servo drives.
  • Installs and commissions new necessary instrumentation for additional data collection as per requests from Engineering and/or Operations team.
  • Performs routine diagnostic checks on equipment, electrical panels, and control systems.

Specifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree and/or relevant experience.

  • PLCs, HMIs, including advanced programming techniques and configurations. (Experience with B&R Automation, Rockwell Automation and/or Automation Direct)
  • VFD & Servo Motor Control.
  • Industrial Networking. (EthernetIP, ModbusRTU, ModbusTCP, CanOpen, Powerlink)
  • Industrial Instrumentation - Level, Pressure, Flow, Temperature, Proximity Sensors, Reed Sensors, Laser Distance and Through-Beam Sensors.
  • Able to read information found within PLC code, Schematic wiring, Ladder and P&ID process diagrams.
  • Power Distribution Systems - LV/MV Switchgear, Motor Control Centers (MCCs), Panelboards, Switchboards an asset.
  • AutoCAD Electrical ability to create, and/or edit electrical schematics a definite asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
