Position: * Automation Services Manager - Lifecycle

*
Purpose: *Effectively manage a team of field service personnel and support staff to deliver lifecycle care to existing systems by executing System preventative maintenance programs, System upgrades, operating system patching, onsite troubleshooting, and other lifecycle related software and services in a manner consistent with company objectives and values.

Essential Functions: *

  • People - Manages and develops staff effectively through regular and productive cadence meetings. Provide timely feedback, including performance assessments, development plans, and coaching. Manages direct reports' workflow to ensure customer deadlines are met, and proper communication with customers are completed on time. Identify and assist in the development of future leaders of Applied Control Equipment.
  • Services - Manages the Automation Lifecycle service department to maximize utilization of field service personnel and ensures that all field service personnel complete the required training necessary for their role and maintain appropriate staffing levels based upon current and future service needs.
  • Profitability - Maintain a consistent focus on Gross Profit margins in line with the overall company goals using a Solution Sales and Think Customer approach. Drives an atmosphere of products/services pull through via the lifecycle service team customer engagements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops people through regular cadence process and development plans
  • Assesses staffing level requirements, support recruiting and interview process, and coordinates training plans
  • Review service schedule to maximize utilization of field service personnel
  • Maintain accurate training records for all field service personnel
  • Responsible for delivering reports to support the business and meet Emerson requirements
  • Ensures consistent adherence to MSAs, risk mitigation, and service deliverable standards
  • Oversees and assists in developing a resource plan and schedule to execute projects
  • Develop service estimates for lifecycle projects
  • Tracks profitability of the services group on both a periodic and lifecycle project basis
  • Contributes to relationship management with customers, key suppliers, and Emerson
  • Develop/hire the correct skillset(s) required to achieve trusted advisor status with our customers

Skills/Qualifications: *

  • B. S. in Engineering
  • Demonstrated cross-functional team leadership, including client-facing experience
  • Experience in control systems (DeltaV preferred), instrumentation, and the process control industry
  • Able to effectively communicate through written and oral communications
  • Strong initiative and proven ownership accountability level
  • Provide project management assistance
  • Ability to manage and prioritize request from several stakeholders

Working Conditions: *
Variable - primarily office with occasional customer visits that may include overnight travel

Compensation: *
Rate Range: $95,000 - 100,000 annual salary
Other: Eligible for additional incentive compensation including an annual profit share award.
Prior work or industry experience as well as job-related education and unique skills will be taken into consideration when setting the wage rate.
