AUTOMATION ENGINEER
HOURS: Full Time [Salary]

REPORTS TO: Director of Solutions Development
McMurray Stern is the leading Southern California based supplier of static and fully automated storage solutions. McMurray Stern integrates multiple robotic solutions for customers in various industries. This position will be at the ground floor of an exciting business that will develop cutting edge solutions for customers throughout the US. The engineer will be responsible for the design, specification, and implementation of static and automation projects from concept though final detail drawings.
Job Responsibilities:
· Work with sales team to meet with clients onsite or via Teams to develop solutions for their facilities
· Collaborate with internal and external clients to design automated and static storage solutions
· Analyze customer operational data and create process flow charts using Excel, Power BI, Visio, or other tools
· Create concept and job drawings using AutoCAD and Configura programs.
· Work actively with vendors for pricing and technical information to develop cost estimates
· Assists in the development of proposal documents.
· Develop programming and interfacing skills for our product offerings that include, but limited to, FANUC Robotics, SSI Schaefer, Vidir, Rockwell, and HAI Robotics.
· Programming skills and acumen are a big plus.
Required Skills:
· Ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
· BS/BA in mechanical, software or industrial engineering or related discipline or advanced degree, required. Industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
· Experience with Spacesaver, SSI Schaefer, FANUC Robotics or similar products and technologies preferred but not required
· Must be an innovative and creative thinker
· Must be work well in a team environment and have a willingness to wear multiple hats to get the job done
· Ability and willingness to learn new products and solutions in our industry
· High degree of proficiency in AutoCad required
· Must also be proficient in MS Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· 1 - 3 years of successful experience working in supply chain, material handling, distribution center operations a plus.
