The Retail Service Associate-Barista (RSA-B) is the guide through a one-of-a-kind beverage and shopping experience. Our merchandise, a unique part of our business is partnering with Lavazza a world-class coffee brand. This partnership requires unique individuals able to create the ultimate shopping experience at Hard Rock. As an RSA-B, you will be assuming the role of tour guide, Barista or coffee & beverage expert, communicator, entertainer, memorabilia curator and musician (at heart).

• Greeting all guest who enter retail area
• Answering questions and providing information to guest
• Making proficient sales transactions - using a point-of-sale.
• Prepare and serve beverages in accordance with established standards set by management.
• Handling cash and other forms of payment.
• Maintaining proper cash drawer.
• Directing guests to areas/restrooms.
• Demonstrating impeccable product knowledge.
• Offering customer demonstrations and samples using brewing equipment.
• Determining guests’ needs by actively engaging them in 1-on-1 conversation and informing guests of product features
• Suggestive selling - using proven techniques (i.e. related items, top-quality items, transitional phrases).
• Maintaining a clean and organized storage and working area.
• Maintaining proper product (food and non-food) stock levels – through pulls & inventories before, during and/or after the shift.

• Properly labelling, dating, covering and refrigerating food & beverage product.
• Cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
• Displaying product as per standards and manager’s directions.
• Performing opening, closing & side duties – cleaning glass, setting up / breaking down the coffee shop, sweeping & vacuuming the floor, folding/steaming product, refilling displays
• Assuring the complete satisfaction of each and every guest.
• Creating memorable moments
• Under the direction of management, establishing the preparation, presentation and serving of beverages including tasting, product specification and sanitation.
• Offering customer demonstrations and samples using brewing equipment.
• Complete the Lavazza Barista Level certification within 3 months of being heired.
• Promoting positive guest relations; effectively explains menu items, handles guest complaints.
• Ensuring that production and storage areas are maintained in accordance with city and state health department codes.
• Promoting positive public/employee relations at all times.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility by following the established food safety & sanitation procedures.
• Entertaining guests to create “Raving ” experiences

• +2 years Retail experience preferred.
• Some inventory experience perferred
• Some stock experience preferred

• Remaining calm in a hectic, fast-paced enviornment
• Demonstrating a high level of organization, attention-to-detail and a sense-of-urgency.
• Displaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guest
