WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Identifies and pursues new sales prospects within existing or untapped markets.
- Gathers market intelligence, generates leads, and develops proposals/campaigns to garner new business, ensuring a consistent flow of new revenues to the company.
- Uses knowledge of markets, industries, and clients to determine demand, future trends and potential projects.
- Works pre-developed lead lists to generate business and identify new customer prospects.
- Builds effective relationships and trust with clients and potential clients by listening to and uncovering their needs and educating them about Santander products and services that are most appropriate for their situation.
- Maintains awareness of individual sales goals and status in achieving them.
- Conducts sales activities to gather data and to drive business to the branch, such as: in person or phone interviews with clients or prospective clients, community involvement, etc.
- Proactively seeks information from clients and prospective clients through sales efforts to understand possible changing situations, needs and desired benefits and evaluate product or service alternatives.
- Leverages leads and other lead generations on a regular basis to present new products, services, rate promotions, campaigns, etc.
- Stays abreast of changes to banking environment, company competition and customer's business environment.
- Maintains confidentiality of customer information, organizational policies and procedures.
- Effectively responds to customers requesting to update or close their accounts, determining reason for dissatisfaction and offer possible alternatives; process account maintenances in a compliant manner.
- Meets or exceeds established customer service standards.
- Develops and implement internal communication strategies, plans and tactics that support the business goals and objectives.
- Assesses, writes, edits, produces and manages distribution of internal communication content as needed (e.g. newsletters, articles for an internal Sharepoint site, announcements).
- Plans, organizes and executes events.
- Performs trend analysis and report on products and programs to ensure achievement of stated objectives and goals.
- Monitors and understands Santander's market position
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, Economics, Communications or Equivalent field.
- 5+ years of work experience in customer service, sales related occupations
- Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) preferred, or to be obtained within a specified timeframe
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Understands state and local laws necessary to understand the legal implications of certain product features in different states
- Understands the consequences of not following the FINRA rules
- Excellent verbal and written communications necessary in order to talk to producers/customers about product features and to help in the sales process.
- Proficiency with computers and common office software
- Ability to apply independent judgment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a team environment
- Highly organized and able to work independently.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to use financial models

Working Conditions:
- Frequent minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking.
- Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.
