Symetra has an exciting opportunity join our team as an Associate Relationship Manager!


About the role

As an Associate Relationship Manager, you will support and develop relationships with Institutional partners such as wirehouses, independent broker dealers and banks as well as Life Brokerage IMO’s to help drive growth of Symetra life insurance products. You will understand Symetra’s cross divisional opportunities for life products and capabilities and align those products with partner needs, functional areas, and objectives. This role works with the faces of the accounts for Symetra both internally and externally. You will support aligned relationship managers and work with internal partners to ensure partner needs are met.


What you will do

  • Work with National Account team to prepare for regional and national meetings.
  • Prepare and submit monthly account summaries submitted to the ILD Sales team each month.
  • Develop Business Plans for institutional accounts.
  • Coordinate with RD relationship managers on common institutional accounts.
  • Manage day-to-day external partner requirements including, but not limited to providing data, marketing materials, updated product information, and delivering communication.
  • Coordinate internal resources to assist in ongoing broker dealer and IMO Life Brokerage IMO’s needs. e.g. compensation or approval issues, and issues and updating new agreements as necessary.
  • Maintain an internal reference source of Institutional product approvals and marketing material approvals as well as contact database.
  • Work with the Symetra’s IMO Relationship Managers, Sales team, and marketing team to gain exposure for assigned firms.
  • Work with IMO Relationship Managers to drive sales penetration with partners.
  • Provide account training to internal and external wholesalers.
  • Work with sales reporting team for monthly report.
  • Support all aspects of assigned distribution channel(s) in addition to working with and understanding the Life Brokerage General Agent accounts.
  • Build relationships with both internal and external partners.

Compensation


Base Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 annually plus eligibility for incentive compensation


Your experience and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, business or communications or equivalent work experience
  • Life Insurance license and FINRA Series 6 and 63
  • 5-10 years in the financial services industry, specifically with life products.
  • Working knowledge of financial institutions and independent broker dealers, current relationships with indedependent general agencies are a plus.
