Summary
Kinetics is a premier commercial mechanical contractor specializing in process piping, plumbing and HVAC systems with clients related to semiconductor, pharmaceuticals, advanced technologies, data centers and others!
This is a mandatory travel position for first project! Please only apply if willing to travel to Anaheim, CA for a 8 month long project. At conclusion of project will return to Durham,NC to assist local projects.
Responsible to provide the Project Manager with assistance required to attain or exceed the project operating income, project execution plan and customer satisfaction goals. Day-to-day activities include, but are not limited to, job costing, estimating, billings, labor management and tracking, enhancing customer relationships, scheduling and purchasing responsibilities

Essential Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of the project, including but not limited to;
- Ensuring the safety, quality and all aspects involved with the construction of the project. Safety and quality are of prime importance to all projects.
- Promoting customer satisfaction. Satisfying the customer is important in order to retain a broad base of repeat customer and maintain the reputation of our company. The project manager should instill this philosophy in all employees on the project;
- Obtaining all financial goals of the project. It is the project manager's responsibility to be successful in meeting or exceeding all of the financial goals of the project determined at the beginning of the project. These include but are not limited to: financial forecasting, manpower forecasting, cash flow, direct job cost, invoicing, contract management, etc.;
- Providing for the administration of the project by determining the overall requirements for the administration of the project and planning accordingly to insure that proper staff is obtained from within the company to accomplish this task;
- Communicating information internally to the craft employees and company, and externally to the customer. Communication is the key to all other activities involved in the project. Ensures that communication channels are open and information is flowing between the various segments required to perform the work, such as the craft employees that are performing the work and the customer. The Project Manager is the leader of all activities and personnel on the project site.
Qualifications
- Must have demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills, ability to interface effectively with the owner and/or client.
- Must have a great attention to detail, team player and possess solid communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
- Must be computer literate, with familiarity with computerized accounting systems, and other software such as Primavera, estimating programs, MS Project, Access, and Excel.
- Preferred candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in either Mechanical or Construction Management or, an Associate's Degree
- 2+ yrs of related industry or Project Controls experience, or 5 yrs of related industry experience may be a substitute for degree requirements.
- Previous work experience in high purity process piping is a plus.
Working conditions
Primarily working in office conditions, long sitting, computer use. Occasionally will visit onsite clients needing to following clients safety rules, potentially standing or walking for some periods.
Physical requirements
Ability to handle long periods of sitting, standing and/or walking jobsites.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
