Position Summary: The School of Pharmacy Associate Director of Business Operations provides strategic leadership, direction and operational management for the School and serves on the school’s leadership team. The Associate Director serves on behalf of the Dean in management and oversight of the operational, fiscal, academic and administrative needs. The position will work closely and in conjunction with school administrators and University liaisons on operational matters affecting the School of Pharmacy. Responsibilities include: operations and strategic planning, fiscal management, personnel, space utilization and planning.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
● Operations and Strategic Initiatives: Provide leadership for SOP operations, communications, strategic initiatives, creative and economic endeavors, including direct support for the Dean. Establish streamlined processes and procedures within the School. Represent the School on various institutional initiatives.
● Human Resources: Represent the School on all personnel matters, hiring, contracts, position planning, position descriptions, and faculty matters. Coordinate with academic departments to develop procedures to facilitate personnel matters. Serve as a liaison between the School and Human Resources. Supervise SOP administrative support staff, assign special projects, evaluate performance and provide professional development opportunities.
● Budget and Finance: Fiscal planning and oversight. Oversee annual budget process, request, monitoring and resource allocation. Assist the Dean in developing long range projections. Track expenditures, reconcile University issued credit card expenses, and develop financial reports.
● Strategic Planning: Support design and implementation of the School’s strategic plan. Work with School offices to provide data and input to facilitate monitoring of strategic plan progress.
● Regular, predictable attendance on campus

Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
● Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in higher education administration, business administration or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience:
● Minimum 5 years of higher education or health care/academic health care experience required
