Who you are:
As the Associate Chief Medical Officer (ACMO) for Johns Hopkins HealthCare, you are a key leader for the Health Services business unit, where you will lead the team of Medical Directors and the Medical Policy team while supporting medical management across all lines of business for Johns Hopkins HealthCare. As you collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer, you establish result-oriented partnerships with our provider community and other stakeholders to help Johns Hopkins HealthCare achieve clinical outcome, quality performance, growth and financial targets by improving the health and overall experience of our membership.
What you’ll do:
- You will have direct oversight and responsibility for Cost of Care initiative development and execution across all lines of business and for developing Clinical Strategy across all lines of business
- You will represent the Health Services business unit to collaborate with leadership of the Medicaid, Commercial, Medicare, Military Health, and Solutions lines of business as well as key external stakeholders
- You will work closely with the Quality Improvement, Utilization Management and Care Management, Behavioral Health, Pharmacy and Appeals, Complaints & Grievances and other clinical teams to ensure effective, efficient, high-quality, and clinically sound medical management practices are applied across the Johns Hopkins HealthCare business.
- You will ensure that the provision of health care services to the membership is compliant with the medical policies and standards established by the JHHC Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Committee and the Medical Policy Advisory Committee
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years managed care experience
- 3+ years’ experience managing clinical professionals
- 1+ year of direct patient care experience (as a M.D.)
- Licensed as a M.D. in Maryland (unrestricted)
- Board Certification in a specialty is also required
- Knowledge of managed care concepts, strategic planning, quality improvement, medical management, utilization management and care management activities
- Clear and compelling communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills and competencies
