Assistant Terminal Manager Job at Petroleum Transport Co., Inc.
Petroleum Transport Company, a well established and growing hazmat carrier, is currently seeking an Assistant Terminal Manager for their trucking terminal in Selma, NC. PTC is a common carrier of petroleum products with a very strong presence in the southeast. The successful candidate for this role will have an emphasis on driver relations and retention, maintenance and safety performance and PTC technological systems. The candidate will assist the Terminal Manager and have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:
- Facilitating administrative functions and management of company employed truck drivers delivering petroleum products to customers in greater Selma, NC area.
- Administering and needs of drivers in a steady paced work environment; ensuring drivers are working under safety policies and procedures.
- Coordinating maintenance and record keeping performed by company guidelines.
- Ensure Federal and State DOT rules and regulations are followed for exemplary compliance.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Experience and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Driver relations skills including team building and retention.
- Experience in management with experience in petroleum/chemical products a plus
- Applicants will only be considered if they reside in less than a 70 mile radius of Selma, NC.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
