Position Summary: The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of the dispensary. This position requires someone who can guide teams and develop their talent. The right candidate has supervision experience as well as ensuring customer satisfaction and measuring financial performance.

Assistant Store Managers will ensure employees maintain strict adherence to laws and regulations related to the sale of regulated medical marijuana. This position reports to the Store Manager.

Minimum Qualifications: Experience in retail management and related bachelor’s or associate degree preferred but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ensure excellent customer service, including resolving customer difficulties.

· Train, supervise, and evaluate staff.

· Coach and develop staff.

· Control waste, expenses, and payroll.

· Observe appropriate merchandise stock levels, presentation, and signage.

· Receives product and maintains appropriate records.

· Able to learn new computer systems and explain them to others.

· Open and close store.

· Responsible for daily safe counts, drawer counts, and drop counts.

· Other related duties as assigned by Store Manager.

Work Environment

This job operates in a retail business environment. The role routinely uses standard retail equipment such as registers, phones, computers, printers, and filing cabinets.

Physical Demands

This is an active position requiring regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing all day. The position requires talking and hearing as well as visual acuity. Employees must frequently lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. Good motor coordination is required for weighing and packaging of product.

Expected Hours of Work

Days and hours of work may vary by scheduling or seasonal needs. Evening and weekend work is required.

Additional Requirements

Must be 21 or older.

Must be occupationally licensed in the State of Colorado to work in the industry.

Must be eligible to work in the United States.
