Make a Difference! We are seeking an experienced team leader, experienced in education or youth development, who is passionate about providing opportunities for youth to succeed.

The Assistant Site Coordinator, a part-time hourly position, is responsible for starting the program on time, ensuring safety of students, and supervising program staff to ensure that curriculum and scheduled activities are implemented to achieve desired outcomes. The Assistant Site Coordinator will support the Program Coordinator in program management and will provide leadership on occasions when the Program Coordinator is not available.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure students are provided with structure and supervision during program activities
  • Coach staff to ensure students are engaged in high quality lessons
  • Facilitate safe and efficient transitions and implement safety protocols
  • Model and promote the mission, values, and guiding principles of After-School All-Stars through appropriate appearance, words, and actions and coach team members in these areas.
  • Ensure proper staff and supervision practices, and coach staff as needed to improve youth supervision
  • Maintain good order and behavior management
  • Ensure the school rules and policies are reflected in daily practice
  • Maintain and submit required data on time and accurately

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will be familiar and have passion for working with underserved youth.

  • At least, a High School Diploma, is required.
  • A post-secondary degree, completed, or in progress, is preferred
  • Experience in both youth development and supervision required
  • The ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with school district staff, program staff, parents, and community leaders is required
  • Familiarity and experience with diverse populations and culture competencies strongly desired
  • Must pass background check

After-School All-Stars (ASAS) is one of the leading national after-school program providers in the country. With a special focus on the middle school age group, our school-based programs combine academics, enrichment, and health and fitness activities to help build the knowledge and skills children need to succeed in school and in life.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
