RVCC is hiring an Assistant School Coordinator!

As one of the largest providers of school-based therapy in our region, River Valley Counseling Center partners with 11 school districts in Hampshire and Hampden Counties to provide outpatient therapy and mental health care to children and adolescents. We are looking to add an Assistant School Coordinator to our school-based team!

Assistant School Coordinators are an integral part of the School-Based leadership team. While keeping their school-based clients as a central part of their work, they contribute first-hand expertise and leadership in the effective implementation of RVCC’s school-based program. This posting is for the Assistant School Coordinator for Family and Community Engagement. This person will develop systems to help school-based clinicians engage families in the mental health treatment of their children.

Additionally, to ensure continuity of care for school clients, the Asst. Coordinator will help to establish relationships between RVCC School Based Services and the community organizations that have school vacation/summer programs for kids (ie: YMCA, Boys & Girls Club, etc.)

The salary for this role is $56,000-$60,000/year based on education and experience.

The BONUSES:

$2,000 hiring bonus for bilingual clinicians

Up to $3,000 hiring bonus for licensed clinicians.

Additional retention payments given at signing and at one year of employment, up to $10,000

The Requirements:

• Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling or Social Work, and eligible for state licensure.

• Minimum of 3 years experience working with children/adolescents in a clinical role (1 of which must be in schools).

• 3 years experience collaborating with community organizations/programs and schools.

• Strong skills in organization, taking initiative, and building relationships.

The job:

• Lead a project to enhance school-based services

• Attend weekly School Coordination meetings

• Conduct one intake a week for school-based therapy clients

• Maintain own caseload of school-based clients

• Assist School Coordinators and Directors with projects as assigned

• Supervise community health workers in the school based health centers
