Since 1898, AECOM Tishman has managed the construction of some of the world’s most iconic buildings. We employ a diversified preconstruction and construction management staff of structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers; architects; technology specialists; scheduling and cost control personnel; and construction estimators and accountants. Job Description
AECOM Tishman is seeking an experienced Assistant Construction Project Manager with experience in curtain wall construction engineering to support our construction project at Newark, International Airport.
Job Description:
+ Under moderate supervision assists with overall management administration to large scale, complex project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
+ Employee receives moderate to limited supervision working from objectives set by supervisor. Employee organizes and carries out most assignments in accordance with standard practices, instructions, or previous training. Employee handles some unusual situations independently.
+ Interacts with Superintendents to address project questions/issues.
+ May be engaged in hiring subcontractors, monitoring change orders, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, negotiating solutions to major issues raised during construction that cannot be resolved on the job site at the Superintendent level, ordering removal of employees or dismissal of subs.
+ May interface with design team.
+ May work closely with BIM team and use modelling software.
+ Provides technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, provides assistance and reporting on all facets of the project to ensure all facets are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
+ BS Engineering, Construction Management or similar curriculum and 4 years of experience in construction OR AA/AS and 6 years of relevant construction experience or HS/GED and 8 years of relevant experience in construction.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience working on a construction site, preferably from a large GC firm.
+ Experience in the construction and installation of curtain wall systems for vertical construction projects.
+ Experience with construction documentation.
+ Ability to create/update schedules as necessary.
+ Experience in working on superstructures and heavy civil construction projects.
+ Experience managing subcontractors and other on site vendors
+ Fluency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word).
