We are an established but growing commercial cabinetry business located in Bensenville, IL. We are looking for someone who is organized and able to use Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel. Adobe Acrobat/PDF experience also necessary. Cabinet Manufacturing and Project Management experience a plus but not necessary and we will train someone willing to work and learn. This position is for an assistant project manager who will grow into a project manager role and receive increasing responsibility and pay during the process.

This role description is below:

The Assistant Project Manager will work with the Sales Department and/or the client directly to estimate, quote, or bid on the project. Once the client agrees on a specific project, the Assistant Project Manager will complete a contract with the client and obtain the client signature. The Assistant Project Manager will create a shop drawing and/or a Spec Book for new projects. The Assistant Project Manager will also determine scheduling for the installation based on production times, field workforce availability, and client needs. In addition, the Assistant Project Manager will double-check all materials and parts availability and pricing before communicating to the Production Manager that production may begin. The Assistant Project Manager will complete any change orders and provide them to the Production Manager and the Central Office staff. The Assistant Project Manager will also provide Central Office staff with billing information, including any change orders. The Assistant Project Manager will need to adjust the work schedule as needed and work with the Foreman and Field Superintendent to keep projects on time and within budget.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
