Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Industrial Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, or related disciplines. Candidates must also meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the term of employment.
Preferred Qualifications: Excellence in teaching and mentoring is required. Candidates who employ innovative, evidence-based teaching practices are preferred. Ideal candidates should be able to teach master’s level courses such as Motivation in the Workplace, Advanced Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and Professional Issues in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Successful candidates will also be expected to teach undergraduate level courses in their areas of expertise, develop and maintain an active research program that allows for student involvement, help grow and develop the asynchronous Master’s track in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and provide service to the department, college, and university. The Department of Psychology at Auburn University at Montgomery invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning August 2023. We seek candidates who will contribute to both our scientifically oriented undergraduate program and to the Industrial-Organizational track of our Master of Science in Psychology program ( https://www.aum.edu/degree/io-psychology/).

The Department of Psychology includes 11 tenure-track faculty and offers an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master’s of Science in Psychology graduate degree with two track options: Clinical and Industrial-Organizational.
